HOW IT WORKS
The app is fast enough for the first tee and rigorous enough that the terms still make sense on the eighteenth green.
Choose a template or write your own challenge. Define positions, ties, timing, evidence, and friendly stakes.
Everyone reviews and accepts the exact same version. A counter creates a new agreement for everyone.
Submit the outcome and optional private evidence. Participants accept or neutrally challenge the result.
Settlement creates one immutable private receipt that stays available in your history.
THE LAUNCH WEDGE
Recurring foursomes already make side bets every round. SideBets starts there with the rules golfers actually need, while the underlying challenge model stays ready for every category that comes next.
Hole 8 · Pine Valley Crew
Closest ball to the pin on hole 8. Both tee shots must finish on the putting surface. Photo evidence expected.
Terms hash · 8b41…f92cRECEIPT MODE
A settled receipt preserves the agreement, acceptances, outcome, dispute history, and settlement status for the people authorized to see it.
THE WEB COMPANION
Create and settle on iPhone. Search, compare, export, and understand the history on the web.
Open the SideBets companion →Illustrative dashboard data. The production dashboard will use the same participant-only authorization boundary as the iPhone app.
BUILT FOR TRUST
Challenges, comments, evidence, and receipts remain visible only to authorized participants and group members.
Final terms, participants, outcomes, and timestamps stay preserved even when profiles or groups change later.
No wallet, escrow, sportsbook odds, pooled funds, or payment button tied to a result.
THE FINE PRINT
No. SideBets is a private social ledger. It records friendly agreements, outcomes, and whether an obligation was honored. It does not hold money, process gambling payments, offer odds, or operate public cash markets.
Recurring golf groups already make repeat challenges and naturally invite friends. Golf is the launch wedge, while the underlying SideBet model remains category-neutral.
No. The current product returns receipts only to the participants and group members authorized to view them.
An outcome can be neutrally challenged. The dispute record stays attached to the SideBet, and the group can resolve or void it without rewriting the original agreement.
The first product is native SwiftUI for iPhone. Android is deferred until iOS product validation shows demand.
